Singapore was under British Rule between 1826 and 1958. Between 1819 when Singapore was founded and 1826 when the Straight Settlements was placed, Singapore had always been under the control of the British.

Formerly, Colony of Singapore between 1946 and prior to its independence in 1958, the Republic of Singapore became an independent state. The Singapore Mint was founded in 1968.

The coins are uncirculated but the casing is worn.
