Quintillus was brother of Gothicus, after the suicide of Gothicus 270, Quintillus became emperor of Rome. His reign lasted between a few weeks to a few months, records debated as to whether he died by suicide or was murdered by his soldiers the same year he rose to power. After his death, Aurelian became Roman emperor.
